neighborhood homesThe deadline to file a protest regarding a property’s market value is May 15 or 30 days after a Notice of Appraised Value has been mailed (whichever is later). If May 15 falls on a weekend, the deadline is moved to the following business day.

Protests can be filed online, by mail, or in person. All property owners who file a protest will have access to TCAD’s evidence packet via the online portal. To access this evidence, you must have an online account using the property owner ID and pin number on your Notice of Appraised Value.
