PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the Travis Central Appraisal District collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (“User”) of the traviscad.org website (“Site”).

Web browser cookies, web beacons, and social media pixels

Our Site may use “cookies,” web beacons, or social media pixels to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent.

User Data may be transferred to and stored on a server operated by Alphabet Inc.’s Google Analytics (Google). If User has signed into a Google account from the same web browser used to view Site, User Data may be associated with Personal Information contained in that Google account.

In addition, Site uses customized electronic marketing technology based on “tracking pixels” associated with social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. A tracking pixel collects information from a webpage’s header, such as a visitor’s IP address or browser, which is forwarded to an advertiser (Facebook, Google, etc.) for the purpose of providing advertising to its customers that is based on their personal interests. This technology also allows the advertiser to improve those personalized ads so that they become more relevant to the respective user.
