Typically, a property tax agent will require you to sign a form giving them authority to represent you. The agent will file that authorization form with the appraisal district. If you do not include an expiration date on the agent authorization form, the agent will retain authority indefinitely until you no longer own the property or we are notified in writing by you or the designated agent to revoke the authority.
