NATURE OF EMERGENCY
The March 24, 2020 Stay Home-Work Safe Order 20200324-007 by the Mayor of the City of Austin, the County Judge Order No. 2020-5: Relating to the Declaration regard COVID-19, the March 19, 2020 “Declaration of a Public Health Disaster in the State of Texas” issued by the Commissioner of the Department of State Health Services and Governor Abbott’s March 19, 2020 Executive Order GA-08 related to the communicable disease known as COVID-19.
On March 16, 2020, due to COVID-19, in accordance with Texas Government Code 418.016, Governor Abbott announced the suspension of various provisions of the Open Meetings Act that require government officials and members of the public to be physically present at a specified meeting location. Pursuant to that suspension, members of the public will not be allowed to attend this meeting in person. The Board of Directors of the Travis Central Appraisal District will convene at 9:00AM on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 via videoconference.
