Database Report Writer

Under the general direction and supervision of the Information Technology Manager, this position will be the key person to design, develop, and interpret reports for various departments in the organization. They will be required to have a complete understanding of the database structure as well as other existing and future third-party software to successfully produce conclusive and accurate data. The position requires constant communication with different staff levels within the organization and also with any affiliated agencies in order to present and explain data findings.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Design, develop, and interpret complex customized reports for existing and new applications.
  • Validate data on developed reports.
  • Present the report findings to different staff members through excellent oral and written communication.
  • Clearly document methodology of written reports for future use by others.
  • Knowledgeable in various departments’ workflows and data entry practices to identify how reports will be affected.
  • Consistently communicate with management to fully understand report requests.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance and modification of reporting projects as required.
  • Oversee the implementation and use of new reporting software.
  • Perform and verify nightly system backups of all servers
  • Recognize confidential information and safeguard it.
  • Meet deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned
